资源简介:
The 1445 Toll Register is the unique surviving medieval customs register in Japan. As such, it is a precious window into Japan’s medieval commercial revolution. It is a customs register which, over a period of one year, kept essential information on the ships that passed through the port of Hyōgo (nature of cargo, volume, origin, etc.). This dataset was produced as part of the ERC J-InnovaTech project, under the scientific direction of Aleksandra Kobiljski (CNRS). Data set concerns maritime trade in the Seto Inland Sea in the mid-15th century, and is made available to the international scientific community with the aim of enabling comparative research on similar documents or historical contexts. Research, data entry, and formatting were funded by the European Research Council (ERC) as part of the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (GA no. 805098).
