资源简介:
This study investigates the transcriptional responses of Staphylococcus aureus to glucose supplementation during mid-exponential growth using RNA-seq. Staphylococcus aureus is a significant pathogen, with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) posing particular challenges. The bacterium's ability to adapt to changes in nutrient availability, such as glucose, plays a critical role in its virulence, especially in hyperglycemic environments like those found in diabetic patients.RNA-seq analysis revealed immediate transcriptional changes in response to glucose, including upregulation of glycolysis and amino acid biosynthesis genes and downregulation of the TCA cycle, gluconeogenesis, amino acid catabolism, and pyrimidine biosynthesis pathways. These findings provide insights into the metabolic and virulence adaptations of Staphylococcus aureus to glucose-rich environments. This dataset includes raw sequencing data and processed files detailing the dynamic transcriptional shifts associated with glucose availability.
