Jeevamrutha is a traditional Indian biodynamic liquid organic preparation being used by farmers for centuries. It is fermented product which is prepared using cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, chickpea flour, soil and water. The cow breeds used here is 'Gir', 'Ongole' and 'Deoni' which are native to Indian subcontinent. It is applied to soil @ 200 litres per acre or foliar spray at 15 days interval. It is known to improve soil fertility, productivity and plant health. Understanding the microbial diversity of jeevamrutha increases the acceptance and credibility among modern day young farmers who are practicing chemical free natural farming.
