Toxoplasma gondii Genome -Nanopore Third-Generation Sequencing

T. gondii has been used as a model organism for intracellular pathogen research, its genome information is crucial for understanding host-pathogen interaction and screening drug targets. However, genome data derived from first- and second-generation sequencing technologies are incomplete, with challenges like repetitive sequences obstructing thorough assembly.This sequencing results contain T.gondii typeI, typeII and type III strains sequence. By leveraging third-generation nanopore sequencing, it will reconfirm the fusion of Chromosome VIIb and VIII in T. gondii genome, correcting the previous assumption of their separation.
