To investigate the global molecular mechanisms underlying the phenotype induced by ZZEF1 loss in pancreatic ß-cells and subsequent treatment with azoramide, we isolated pancreatic islets from ß-cell-specific ZZEF1 knockout mice (ßZKO-Mip) and their littermate controls. Both groups were fed a HFD for four weeks and treated with either azoramide (10 µM) or DMSO (10 µM) for 24 hours. Overall design: We then conducted gene expression profiling using RNA-seq data from pancreatic islets isolated from ß-cell-specific ZZEF1 knockout mice (ßZKO-Mip) and their littermate controls. Both groups were fed a HFD for four weeks and , treated with either azoramide (10 µM) or DMSO (10 µM) for 24 hours. For each islet sample, no fewer than three mice with the same genotype were used.
