Supporting data for "A Social History of Nightlife and Dance in 20th Century Hong Kong"

This dataset is in support of a thesis titled "A Social History of Nightlife and Dance in 20th Century Hong Kong". As its name indicates, the thesis explores how social, political, and cultural currents shaped nightlife institutions and dance culture in Hong Kong during the 20th Century. <br> This dataset contains transcripts of ethnographic interviews conducted for research on Hong Kong's nightlife and dance culture history. The decades of nightlife activity that are discussed in the interviews range from the 1960s until, and including, the 1990s. Interviewees were nightlife professionals (e.g., DJs, managers, promoters). <br> The transcripts are accompanied by interview guidlines, consent forms, data management plan, and ethics approval.
