资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the study "Analysis of Causal Association between Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma," which explores the bidirectional causal relationship between allergic rhinitis and asthma using a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach. The primary data sources include genome-wide association studies (GWAS) data on allergic rhinitis from the UK Biobank (UKB) with 18,934 cases and 64,595 controls, and asthma data from a Finnish cohort with 20,629 cases and 135,449 controls. Content: SNP Data: The dataset includes selected single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) used as instrumental variables (IVs) in MR analysis. MR Analysis Results: Inverse variance weighting (IVW), MR-Egger, and other MR analysis methods' results. Heterogeneity and Pleiotropy Tests: Details on Cochrane’s Q test, MR-PRESSO for pleiotropy, and leave-one-out sensitivity analysis. Purpose and Scope: The study aims to quantify the causal relationship between allergic rhinitis and asthma, addressing the prevalence and co-occurrence of these conditions. The findings support the hypothesis of a bidirectional association, with implications for prevention and treatment strategies.
