The dataset include seven folders: (1) Litter decomposition rate_RF: estimations of litter decomposition rates (K) with 718 field observations using Random Forest (RF) algorithm across Chinese forest ecosystems (2) Litter carbon productivity: derived from Zhao, X., Tang, X., Du, J., et al., 2022. A data-driven estimate of litterfall and forest carbon turnover and the drivers of their inter-annual variabilities in forest ecosystems across China.
