Original data from the article entitled "Contrasting shape, colour plasticity and habitat use indicate morph-specific roles in a marine shrimp", submitted to Journal of Animal Ecology. The file uploaded contains (i) basic information of natural distribution of color morphs in algal banks in São Sebastião (Brazil), (ii) population structure, (iii) results from laboratory experiments testing habitat preference and (iv) color change capacity, and, at the end, data testing morph functional roles, including (v) geometric morphometric analysis, (vi) habitat fidelity and (vi) shrimp mobility.
