Andre Bazin was a pre-eminent and prolific film critic and film theorist. In 1951 he was the co-founder of the French journal Cahiers Du Cinema. Bazin's writings were highly influential on a generation of filmmakers including Francois Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard, and his analyses were highly regarded by the likes of Robert Bresson, Luis Bunuel, Orson Welles, Jean Cocteau and Federico Fellini. This collection compiles monograph and article entries pertaining to Bazin and his work.
