Using multiple genetic screening assays and high-throughput analysis approaches, this study explored the genotoxic and evolutional effects of nonlethal dosages of furfural in yeast model. To confirm the crossover events in the recombinants appeared on furfural plates, we selected 53 independent white colonies and 33 independent red colonies, and analyzed the T-LOH events among the these colonies using a custom chr IV-specific SNP microarray.
