This series comprises the By-laws and Constitution of the Mount Royal Hospital (VA 1280). Also included are the By-Laws and related correspondence for the Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service (VA 5265). The By-Laws define the powers and responsibilities of the Board of Management, its Sub-committees, and the authority delegated to the senior staff. They also contain rules relating to medical establishment, medical staff, patients, visitors and Life Governors. For some periods the By-Laws are referred to as the Constitution.
