资源简介:
Bacterial microflora from the whole body, midgut and salivary gland of Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus from different ecotypes were identified. Mosquitoes were collected from different breeding sites in different ecotypes of Odisha, India. The Aedes and Culex mosquitoes from different ecotypes of Odisha, India were collected in the larval stages along with breeding habitat water in order to avoid any changes in surrounding microbiota of the growing larvae. The larvae were reared in separate trays under controlled insectary conditions. The newly emerged adult mosquitoes were considered for this study. Further, impact of chemical insecticide, Temephos on microbial diversity of Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus was analysed. Microbial diversity in different developmental stages of control and Temephos treated Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus was explored. Variation in microbial diversity of live and dead larvae of Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus after treatment with Temephos was analysed. The samples were surface sterilized and utilized for DNA extraction. Metagenome analysis was conducted using the 16S rRNA sequences obtained by amplification of the V1-V9 hypervariable region.
