Differences in composition, diversity, and function of the fecal microbiota of post-menopausal breast cancer patients of varying hormone receptor statuses when compared to healthy, age-matched controls

In this study, fecal microbiota samples from post-menopausal women with newly diagnosed breast cancer were compared to age-matched, healthy controls using 16S rRNA sequencing to determine differences in function, composition, and diversity suggestive of dysbiosis and increased risk for breast cancer development.
