Gridded Rainfall Design Values in Slovakia
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides gridded design rainfall depth quantiles [mm] for the territory of Slovakia, derived from the nonlinear intensity–duration–frequency (IDF) model developed by Urcikán (1980) and described in Urcikán & Impriška (1986), calibrated on a network of 68 ombrographic rain gauges in Slovakia. The model relates rainfall depth to duration and return period through seven station-specific parameters (fitted per gauge). The presented dataset is a gridded product that uses station-level quantiles interpolated using an elevation-detrended radial basis function approach: (1) station elevation sampled from a digital elevation model; (2) a linear regression of quantile against elevation fitted per combination to capture the orographic signal; (3) residuals from this trend interpolated spatially with a thin-plate-spline radial basis function; (4) the final grid reconstructed as the elevation trend plus the interpolated residuals, masked to the Slovak Republic national boundary. Coverage: 9 rainfall durations: 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, 120, 180 minutes 8 return periods: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 years Grid specification: Projection: S-JTSK / Krovak East North, EPSG:5514 Resolution: 500 m (901 × 453 cells) Extent: X −603,500 to −153,000 m, Y −1,347,000 to −1,120,500 m; masked to the Slovak Republic national boundary Format: GeoTIFF File naming: IDF_grid_T{T}_D{duration}min.tif (e.g. IDF_grid_T100_D60min.tif) Units: mm (rainfall depth for the given duration and return period) To get more details about the product, send an email to info@regioclim.eu Cite as: Onderka, M.
