## Description

This repository contains the data, metadata, figures, and selected documentation supporting the manuscript:

"Spider egg sac components and their antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria"

The repository includes numerical data used for statistical analyses, processed datasets, file-level metadata describing variables and units, figures used in the manuscript, and selected representative photographs documenting the experiment.

Preliminary experimental stages, optimization attempts, and unsuccessful preliminary trials are also included to document the research process and methodological development.

## Metadata and file documentation

Metadata are provided as file-level documentation rather than as a single separate metadata table.

The main numerical datasets are stored as R scripts in the `Data` folder. These scripts contain the matrices used for statistical analyses and figure generation, together with comments and object names describing the experimental groups, bacterial strains, treatments, and measured variables.

Additional Excel files are included mainly as original working files from early experiments and optimization stages. These files contain simple tabular descriptions and calculations, in some cases in Polish, because they were created during the experimental workflow and are preserved in their original form.

Where necessary, English explanations of file contents, variables, units, and experimental context are provided. Users should contact the corresponding author if further clarification is needed.

## Language note

Most documentation in this repository is provided in English. Some original raw files, working notes, file names, or preliminary documentation are in Polish, as they were created during the experiment and are preserved in their original form.
