We experimentally investigated the changes in the coral microbiome and coral physiology in response to elevated temperature and pCO2 expected by the end of this century. Corals were maintained under treatment (pCO2 of 750 µatm and 29.0˚C) or control (pCO2 of 364 µatm and 26.5˚C) conditions for 24 days and fed brine shrimp nauplii bi-weekly. Via 16S rRNA gene analyses, overall microbial communities differed between coral species, and between control and treatment A. millepora but not T. reniformis.
