Amplicon sequencing of Anopheles funestus from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Anopheles funestus amplicon sequencing

A panel of 17 amplicon primer pairs was applied to 80 Anopheles funestus isolates collected in the Sud-Kivu province of DRC. This panel targets commonly seen target site mutations associated with insecticide resistance, including 4 regions of the vgsc, 2 ace-1 regions, 2 gaba/rdl amplicons, and one amplicon each for GSTe2, CYP6P4, and CYP6P9a. Also included are three markers commonly used for species identification and phylogenetic investigation: mt- COI, mt-ND5, and ITS2. All amplicons are ~ 500bp long, sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq with a 2 x 250bp configuration.
