Dallas Public Improvement Districts - Council Districts

The PID and Council District web application features a map displaying the locations of these PIDs—excluding the Tourism PID—alongside City boundaries and City Council district information. This map helps users identify property locations within both PIDs and Council districts. The City of Dallas offers a Public Improvement District (PID) program that enables groups of property owners to request special property tax assessments to fund enhanced services beyond the standard levels provided by the City. In collaboration with City staff, each PID develops its own budget and service priorities based on its unique goals and needs, as permitted under Chapter 372 of the Texas Local Government Code. Eligible services may include area marketing, enhanced security, additional landscaping and lighting, street cleaning, and cultural or recreational improvements.
