eDNA from Controlled Agile and Novel Observing Network (CANON) cruise in spring of 2019 (CN19S)

Seawater was collected as part of the spring 2019 Controlled Agile and Novel Observing Network (CANON) cruise through shipboard CTD, long-range autonomous underwater vehicles equipped with environmental sample processors (LRAUV-ESPs), and ROV. Sampling centered around the site of an upward-facing echosounder at MBARI's Monterey Accelerated Research System (MARS) cabled observatory within Monterey Bay, CA. This cruise involved shipboard observations by the R/V Western Flyer, R/V Rachel Carson, and the NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker. The goal of this experiment was to capture patterns of organisms undergoing diel vertical migration through environmental DNA (eDNA).
