The increasing number of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners installed in large urban areas become more complex to avoid external interference. Electromagnetic and vibration interferences may cause artifacts in the acquired images. The MRI scanner in this study is located 28.38 meters away from the subway tracks. In addition, another MRI scanner of 3.0 Tesla was installed at 14 meters away from both isocenters. The aim of this study is to monitor the performance of a 3.0 T MRI scanner and evaluate possible external interference due to both interventions: the installation of an MRI scanner in the next room and the construction of a subway tracks nearby. For statistical analysis, segmented regression was applied to evaluate significant changes in both interventions.
