资源简介:
In 1915, the Government of Spain approved the “Plan de Riegos del Altoaragón”. By now more than 1350 km2 are irrigated, according to the water users' organization “Comunidad General de Riegos del Alto Aragón”. The Monegros Canal is key for water conduction from the Pyrenees. Its Fourth Section, “Cuarto Tramo” in Spanish, started its service in 1986. Eleven years earlier, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture hired the consulting firm ILACO (International Land Development Consultants Ltd.) to conduct a study on the land suitability for irrigation with water from this section, producing a Report in Spanish dated September 1975. The materials here presented are: (i) The folder "Newspaper clippings.01" contains press clippings from 1985 to 1988 showing the social demand for irrigation; (ii) The folder "Planos" store the plans of the Report; (iii) Two pdf files, one for the Memory and other for the Annexes of the Report; and (iv) several Excel files produced by manual transcriptions of some relevant sets of analytical data of waters and soils shown in the Annexes of the Report. The names of these Excel files begin with the page numbers of the Report from which they originate. The file "p85 percents.xlsx" shows the contents of the major ions deducted from the 1:5 soil to water extracts expressed in grams per hundred, according to the literal translation of the Table's header contained in the Report.
