资源简介:
Data from the NAU-23 core sequence of Lake Nautajärvi in southern Finland. Included are the files used by Lincoln et al. (2025) to run statistical analyses on m-XRF core scanning data. The code used to run the analyses from these files can be found at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2025.178519.
The 'XRF_Varve_data.RData' object contains four files:
'XRF' is the replicate averaged 0.2mm resolution m-XRF data from the NAU-23 sequence.
‘variance’ contains the replicate variances on each element at 0.2 and 0.4mm resolution.
‘VT’, contains the Nautajärvi varve thicknesses from Ojala and Alenius (2005). These data are also available on Pangaea at https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.968802
‘max_depth’ contains the maximum varve depth (mm) in the composite NAU-23 stratigraphy.
‘Fig1_Halli_Data.RData’ contains the monthly meteorological data from the Halli weather station in southern Finland, which is used in Figure 1 of Lincoln et al. (2025).
‘Image_plots.RData’ contains three files:
’G1_chronology’ is the varve chronology for the surface gravity core taken from the NAU-23 sequence.
‘G1_image’ is the corresponding core photo for the gravity core.
‘Core_image’ is a JPEG raster of the core section used in Figure 3 of Lincoln et al. (2025).
