资源简介:
Breast cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancer and a leading cause of mortality worldwide. Triple negative breast cancer is a malignant breast cancer subtype that lacks effective and targeted therapeutic strategies. In the present study, we screened genes in triple negative breast cancer samples in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), applied weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA) to identify gene modules, used univariate Cox proportional hazards regression to assess prognostic risk, and discovered WGCNA module 7 as a gene module that was closely correlated with stromal score and overall survival. Knockdown of A by A-shRNA lentivirus infection remarkably inhibited the survival, proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of breast cancer cells. In conclusion, our study reveals the critical association of genes in WGCNA module 7, especially Stoml1, with triple negative breast cancer, and conclude that Stmol1 may severe as an important therapeutic target for breast cancer.
