资源简介:
Sulfate-dependent AOM is usually catalyzed by microbial consortia of anaerobic methanotrophs and sulfate-reducing bacteria in marine systems. In the sulfate-rich Lake Cadagno sediments, however, this process was carried out by a novel ANME strain belonging to Candidatus Methanoperedens and probably in synthopy with a new group of SRB, representatives of the family Desulfobulbaceae. In addition, under sulfate-starved conditions, this process could be supported by metal oxides through the re-oxidation of reduced sulfur species to sulfate.
