Rapid in vitro evolution of flucytosine resistance in Candida auris

Comparative transcriptomic profiling of Candida auris derivative clones collected from 5FC-containing medium in comparison to the Wild-Type Strain RNA Sequencing was conducted on a multidrug resistant Candida auris 1133/P/13R and its derivatives clones after treated with 5FC. The cells were cultivated to the exponential phase in YPD at 37°C with agitation at 200rpm. Subsequently, cultures were harvested, and RNA isolation was performed, followed by the preparation of sequencing libraries for three biological replicates.
