Soil Metagenome of Biofumigation Experiment at Forthside Vegetable Research Farm

This study aimed to examine the effects of brassica biofumigation and ryegrass green manuring on the microbial ecology of an intensively cropped vegetable production soil at a fine time-scale. Soils were intensively sampled during the incorporation process in one entire growing season and the results compared to a fallow control. The site had been continuously utilizing the biofumigant and green manure for twelve years and this should be considered when interpreting data from the beginning and end of the experiment.
