Kangaroo gut microbes cultivated with carbon dioxide and hydrogen

The goal is to cultivate homoacetogens from kangaroo gastrointestinal tract. Samples analyzed were from a joey red kangaroo 2-months of age. When this consortia was cultivated with carbon dioxide and hydrogen, the only metabolite detected by HPLC column HPX-87H was acetic acid.
