Measurement of local voltage using a multielectrode mapping catheter in a patient that underwent ablation for ventricular tachycardia and local biopsies (two biopsy sites are marked in yellow): The biopsy from the region with less fibrosis yielded roughly three times more viable cardiomyocytes than the biopsy from the more fibrotic region. The local voltage readings (an inverse indicator of fibrosis) were ~4.1 mV at the high-yield site vs. ~2.7 mV at the low-yield site
