Palau Coral Microbiomes

Coral 16S rRNA from colonies of 5 coral species (M. foliosa, C. aspera, P. acuta, P. digitata, and P. rugosa) sampled from an ambient offshore, hot and acidic nearshore, and near human development environments. The goals of this project were to assess the influence of climate change stressors (lower pH and warm seawater temperatures) and proximity to human developments with increased nutrient pollution on the stability of coral microbial associations. Included in sampling are seawater samples for each of the sampled sites from each day of coral collection from those sites.
