A monthly time-averaged 2-dimensional data collection of atmospheric carbon monoxide and ozone parameters is presented in the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications version 2 (MERRA-2). It provides global model and data assimilation results that incorporate satellite-based observations to predict monthly carbon monoxide and ozone parameters, such as properties of carbon monoxide (column burden, emission, chemical production, and surface concentration), and total column ozone.
