Replication Data for: Wolves and their prey all fear humans Description: These data files concern the camera trap data that were collected in the study area Bory Tucholskie as part of NCN grant nr. 2021/41/B/NZ8/00015 and were used for the publication by Kasper et al. 2025. They are camera trap data collected by ABR’s (Automated Behavioral Response System) and show the reponses of animals to the sounds of pre-programmed treatments. All details of the exact experimental set-up can be found in Kasper et al. 2025. We strongly advice anybody that is interested in using this data to first contact the correspondence authors of the above-mentioned paper to prevent incorrect use or incorrect interpretation of this data. The data files show all recorded animals in front of the camera traps and the behavior responses of wolves and their ungulate prey species (red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, roe deer). The following files have been included: - ‘ABR_data_complete’: all observations of animals that was used for determining nocturnality - ‘fallow_deer_run , red_deer_run, roe_deer_run, wild_boar_run’ : % of running time to abandonment per prey species in response to the play back treatment - ‘wolves_run_final’: raw data file used for % running time to abandonment for wolves.
