Homo sapiens Immunoglublin Heavy Chain Variable region sequences with isotype information

We hypothesized that the power of the anaphylactic response could be the result of high affinity IgE-producing B cells that emerge from the germinal center reaction. We therefore studied IgE sequences obtained from individuals with histories of anaphylactic reactions to bee or wasp venom or to peanut allergens. We demonstrated that HTS datasets are suitable for mutational analysis, and that IgE sequences from individuals with these conditions lack mutational evidence of antigen selection. The filtered datasets confirmed that antigen selection plays a role in the evolution of IgG but not IgE sequences in individuals with sensitivities to insect venom and peanut allergens.
