Loon Lake (Vilas County, WI) benthic macroinvertebrate Community densities and weights 2013-2025

Benthic macroinvertebrate densities and dry weight were collected from Loon Lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin, from 2013-2025. Replicate samples were collected annually in July using an Ekman Dredge georeferenced sampling locations. Sampling sites were selected to represent dominant plant communities, including Myriophyllum tenellum at 3 ft depth, Isoetes echinospora at 8 ft, and Nitella spp. at 15 ft. The dataset reflects long-term community changes related to changes in the densities of the Chinese Mystery Snail (Cipangopaludina chinensis) and supports long‑term ecological and lake‑management analyses.
