Updated POLIPHON conversion factors for lidar and ceilometer applications

The four netCDF files of this dataset contain novel and updated POLIPHON conversion factors to retrieve estimates of aerosol microphysical properties and CCN/INP concentration from profiles of aerosol optical properties measured by lidar and ceilometer. The dataset is presented and discussed in detail in Ansmann et al. (EGUsphere [preprint], 2026). The POLIPHON conversion factors are provided for 355, 532, 911, and 1064 nm wavelength and for mineral dust, marine, continental pollution, biomass burning smoke (tropospheric, fresh and aged stratospheric), and volcanic sulfate (fresh and aged stratospheric) aerosol types.
