The data related to sterility test by BacT/ALERT 3D

One of the files is the data of sterility test of blood products collected at a blood center in Japan. Red cell concentrates (RCC), platelet concentrates (PC) and fresh frozen plasma (FFP) were tested from July 2015 to July 2018 by BacT/ALERT 3D, which is used for bacterial culture and detection. This data shows total number of samples and culture-positive cases of the test. The other is a record of preparation of bacterial sample in <i>Streptococcus pneumoniae</i> inoculation test. It was conducted to evaluate the difference of positive reaction by BacT/ALERT 3D between <i>Streptococcus pneumoniae</i>, a bacterium known to autolyze,<i> </i>and other bacteria detected in blood products in sterility test.
