Field-scale paddy rice and soybean yield data in China

Field yield data for rice were acquired via field surveys conducted by the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences in November 2023, covering a total of 66 plots. For each surveyed field, five 1 m × 1 m sampling quadrats were set up to manually record spikes numbers. Subsequently, grain count per spike and 1000-grain weight were determined through laboratory testing. Soybean yield data from 30 experimental fields were collected by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in November 2024, encompassing planting density, seed quantity per individual plant, and 100-seed weight. The yield data is stored in the attribute field Y_kgmu, with the unit of kg/mu.
