Complete encapsidated genomes of the five temperate phages lysogenizing Escherichia coli strain LF82. Temperate phages of E. coli LF82

Escherichia coli LF82 represents the prototype of adherent/invasive E. coli (AIEC) strains that have recently received increasing attention notably given their prevalence and persistence in the gut of Crohn's disease patients. In this study, we show that E. coli LF82 is polylysogenized by five temperate phages that we named respectively Escherichia phage Cartapus, Gally, Cyrano, Perceval and Tritos. We precisely sequenced total DNA extracted from virions produced by LF82 strain and mapped resulting reads against respective prophages to provide encapsidated annotated versions of the five temperate phage genomes. The raw reads sequenced from the total DNA extraction performed on LF82 supernatant containing the virions are also provided in this study.
