Brain Tumor MRI Dataset

Description: This dataset is curated for the purpose of binary classification of brain MRI images into two categories: Tumor and No Tumor. It is intended for use in machine learning and deep learning tasks related to medical image classification and brain tumor detection. The dataset is divided into two parts: Training Set: 8,277 images Testing Set: 1,816 images Each set contains MRI scans labeled as either "Tumor" or "No Tumor". Data Sources & Composition: A significant portion of the tumor class images were sourced from the publicly available dataset authored by Ayesha Ghaffar, published at https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/w4sw3s9f59/1. Additional "No Tumor" images were collected and curated independently by the contributor to enhance the dataset's class balance and variability. All images have been merged and organized into a consistent structure for ease of use in training and evaluation scenarios.
