Effects of water decontamination methods and bedding material on the gut microbiota.. mouse gut metagenome

16S rRNA gene amplicon libraries generated from cecal and fecal samples fromhealthy Crl:CD1 (ICR) (n = 96) mice that were exposed to two different bedding materials (corn coband paperchip) and water decontaminated by four commonly used procedures: reverse osmosis, autoclaving,sulfuric acid treatment, or hydrochloric acid treatment. Feces was collected at day 0, and at day 28(endpoint), fecal and cecal samples were collected. Samples were sequenced using the Illumina MiSeq platform.
