-The ''settlingVelocity.mat'' data set contains the dimensions, density, and settling velocity (mean and standard deviation) of all microplastic particle groups, with their time series of measured vertical particle positions. -The ''settlingVelocity.xlsx'' data set contains the particle number, shape/particle code, material, dimensions, characteristic length scales, Corey shape factor, sphericity, density, settling velocity (mean and standard deviation), Reynolds number, and drag coefficient of all microplastic particle groups with the density and kinematic viscosity of water. -Example experimental videos for each microplastic particle group are given as "Particle_X(Shape).mp4".
