Introduction to the Trianon Corpus - a selected digital source edition of archived online news articles

The introduction presents the aims, methodological background, and potential research applications of the selected digital source edition entitled Trianon Corpus. The corpus was compiled from articles published in Hungarian online news sources between 1996 and 2022; it constitutes a subset filtered on the basis of a historical topic and is particularly suitable for examining the press and digital memory of the Treaty of Trianon. The edition builds on the methodological and technical framework of the ELTE.DH Pilot Corpus: the original web sources were preserved in WARC format, while the researchable version was produced as a cleaned, standardised, and metadata-enriched TEI XML corpus. The first version contains 5,201 relevant documents. The selected corpus and its detailed data are available for research purposes HERE.
