Zooplankton data on a monitoring transect on the continental shelf off La Coruna, NW Spain

Monthly samplings of zooplankton have been carried out in a transect of the shelf of La Coruna. Initially, in the course of 1988 and 1989, 4 stations were sampled, but presently they have been reduced to 2: one neritic station (depth of 80m) and which coincides with the fixed station where other parameters are recorded (temperature, salinity, nutrients, chlorophyll, primary production, particulate organic C and N, etc.), and another more internal station with estuary characteristics (depth of 20m). Oblique haulings are performed for the study of mesozooplankton (composition and biomass), vertical (40m to surface and 20m to surface) with a 100m net, and with bottles at a fixed depth of 10m.
