Mangrove %Si data

This dataset contains biogenic silica concentrations of mangrove foliage, twigs, and propagules. We collected these data from the Bahamas, Belize, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Samples are primarily foliage and include four different mangrove species: Conocarpus erectus, Laguncularia racemosa, Avicennia germinans, Rhizophora mangle. We used the wet alkaline digestion method and measured the resulting dissolved silica concentrations using the molybdenum blue colorimetric method on a Seal AA3 auto analyzer.<br>Data is reported in two formats:bsi_sio2 - which is typically called biogenic silica and is %SiO2 dry wt.bsi - which we call plant Si and is reported as %Si dry wt.<br>
