Differential expression analysis Adults vs. Juveniles of Caretta caretta

The different conditions experienced by Caretta caretta during its life cycle, due to its longevity and ability to migrate long distances are reflected in qualitative and quantitative changes in gene expression in the different life stages of the species that can be revealed through transcriptome analysis. In this study, a differential expression analysis was performed comparing transcriptomes of adult and juvenile turtles, focusing on genes related to hypoxia and immune response. The sequences used correspond to captive nesting turtles from the Colombian Caribbean, available in GenBank, these sequences were mapped and assembled against a reference transcriptome.
