During one month of shrimp rearing experiment, the rearing water was treated with Aspergillus terreus SW155 (ATE-W) extract which was directly administered to the rearing water. 20 litre rearing water was then collected and filtered from the experimental tank and subjected to ferric chloride precipitation to collect the whole microbial load. Microbial DNA was extracted using Zhou et al., 1998 protocol and sent for NGS via Illumina sequencing platform. Metadata was submitted and processed in MGRAST server.
