RNA-seq of TGF-beta-Stimulated Human and Mouse Fibroblasts

Transforming growth factor-beta is a key regulator of fibroblast activation and differentiation. In this study, RNA sequencing was performed on human and mouse fibroblast cell models to characterize transcriptional responses to TGF-beta stimulation. Human samples included normal colon fibroblasts (CCD-18Co), TGF-beta-treated CCD-18Co, and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs). Mouse samples consisted of a fibroblast cell line (mFib) with or without TGF-beta treatment. These RNA-seq data provide a resource for studying fibroblast-specific transcriptional programs induced by TGF-beta signaling across species.
