The mRNA and protein levels of SHCBP1 were significantly upregulated in PTC cancer tissues compared with paired normal tissue. Knockdown of SHCBP11 in TPC-1 and K1 significantly supressed cell growth, colony formation ability, tumor invasion, and phase transition of the cell cycle. We used microarrays to investigate the gene expression alterations of PTC cells after SHCBP1 knockdown by shRNA. SHCBP1-shRNA-expressing and control-shRNA-expressing lentivirus were constructed and infected into PTC cancer cells TPC-1. Then total RNA was prepared for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. Three independent samples were collected for each group.
