Overall design: In this study, we generated tissue samples of normal colon crypts, adjacent normal colon crypts, and colon adenomas using two mouse models of colon cancer initiation to distinguish if loss of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier promoted a more stem cell like gene expression pattern using a custom probeset consisting of intestinal stem and differntiation markers
