Serially measured echocardiographic parameters for three, (W3), six (W6), and ten (W10) week old WT and MLP-/- mice reported as mean ± SEM (N). The following markers denote statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences between these comparisons: ‘*’ WT group of the same age, ‘#’ the marked group and the corresponding W3 time point, ‘†’ the marked group and the corresponding W6 time point, ‘$’ the marked post-dobutamine parameter and the corresponding pre-dobutamine parameter of the same group. Pre-post dobutamine comparisons were only made between paired samples. ‘&’ denotes that comparisons between time points were not made due to attrition.
